Game 7 (2017 WS):
Disgruntled starter comes to team concerned that he shouldn’t start Game 7. Dave not only starts him but after a shaky 2 run first STILL doesn’t get anyone up in the pen.
By the time Dave turned his brain on it was 5-0 and both the Game and the WS were over.

Bases Loaded 2 out and Dave pulls Hyun-Jin Ryu...
But for “good ole Dave” I guess this didn’t qualify as high leverage...
Because in comes Ryan Madson who allows all three of Ryu’s base runners to score on a walk and a two run hit by J.D.

Not mad at using Treinen, but he had to face 9-1-2-3 instead of 7-8-9.

Logically this should’ve been the end, but I’m not incredibly mad about the walk to Acuña, could’ve been worse but by then it was abundantly clear Gonsolin was done.

My 2 cents:
Dave Roberts is a great person. But he is a terrible manager. He cost us in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and now in 2020 he might send a FIFTH TEAM in a row on a World Series run.
This series isn’t over but it could be ruined and it was definitely altered.
It’s madness.

The Dodgers better either win today or Channel the ghost of ‘04 Dave Roberts in Boston. If they don’t Dave Roberts will be the next manager of the Seattle Mariners. And we will have to hear about 1988 for another long ass year.
