Even if a year after the rousing launch of the Amanda Cinema, @ArrayNow has had to bring the party online, they’ve delivered numerous gems to Netflix such as “Residue,” “Justine” and “Lingua Franca” and created a sense of community around them.
Any movie you could ever want to see and many you never knew you needed to can be found somewhere @CinefileVideo in West LA, now making their entire catalog available to browse online and pick-up.
For real discoveries from around the globe, @4XBlu has you covered with a wonderful variety of imported Blu-rays of films largely unavailable in the States.
It hasn’t been possible to sit inside a @Laemmle theater for months, but they’ve set up the next best thing with their virtual cinema and opening up “Popcorn Pop-Ups” at their theaters.
Socially distanced browsing is once again permitted @Vidtheque in South Pasadena, the exceptionally well-curated video store where the 50,000-plus titles are made to feel like old friends.
At this point, the scheduled opening of @Vidiots in Eagle Rock 2021 is what’s getting us through 2020, and they’ve already demonstrated some killer programming over the summer with a screening series to accompany “You Must Remember This” and quiz nights.
