To all you girls on the contraceptive pill i would really recommend giving your little bodies a break from it for a while if you can especially if you've been on it for a few years, like I have. I always heard horror stories about women getting blood clots from the pill but never
Thought it would happen to me, but unfortunately it has. I've been on the same pill for the last 4 years with no problems at all so I never suspected a thing. It started off with a pain in my left calf just above my ankle last week and I thought nothing of it but still went to
My doctor that Friday. He told me it was got to do with my achillies (because I never had any swelling or anything) and gave me pain killers. On the Monday I was in work and noticed my left leg felt stiff and tight and when I compared both legs my left one had completely swelled
I went straight into a&e that night because I knew it was something more than my achillies. The doctor told me that from my blood tests a clot was discovered in my leg so I was kept in. After ct scans, ultrasounds and blood tests they found multiple clots in my chest too with
One massive clot straining the right side of my heart. Im on blood thinners and may have to be for the next 6 months. Because I havent flown anywhere recently and im not immobile the biggest factor right now is the contraceptive pill. I've never been more scared in my life
But im in the best place with the best doctors and nurses. You just think its inevitable that it will happen to you, until it does.
