please don't forget: every single new board game that makes it onto store shelves in 2020 is a miniature miracle
every individual step of the manufacturing process has the potential to be delayed WEEKS. every individual step of the shipping process has the potential to be delayed WEEKS. a process that might have consistently taken 60 to 90 days can now take two to three times that much, and
the best of intentions are not enough to change the reality right now. we have no idea what this winter will do to the process, and we have no idea what parts will get better or worse over the next few months. this is new to us all. please use compassion whenever possible
i have officially decided i have More To Say About This
see, there's another side to this coin, and it's why my heart skips a beat every time somebody retweets something about the fantastic factories kickstarter. it's why i got so excited visiting our storefront this morning

every day we get to work in this industry is ALSO a miracle
a LOT of companies disappeared in the last six months. many more will. retailers, publishers, distributors, fulfillment facilities, no one's been immune, including my company. the fact that i still exist within the tabletop industry, in this second, is an indisputable miracle
and every second i get to continue spending in the industry is just as much a miracle. i can't possibly express my gratitude for that, but i can say it's made *possible* by every person who's shown even a fraction of support over the course of the year. retweets, purchases, word
of mouth, playing deep water stuff during streams, inviting us to digital events, teaching our games to friends... every single *fraction* of support is what pushed us over the paper-thin line between carrying on and disappearing forever. every single company faced this fact
every single company will continue to face this fact. COVID isn't over yet, which means every link in the chain is still hurting. when things are on such a catastrophic precipice, nobody gets to exist tomorrow without support today
i said this a few years ago, but i mean it now more than ever. you've GOTTA be a loud fan. you've gotta scream it at the top of your lungs right now. publishers need to show each other love. we've gotta be universal in supporting our entire industry https://twitter.com/TerriblyBland/status/759972344479768576?s=20
because that support means so much right now, it can be a little scary to explain, as a publisher, how hard things are right now. it can be a little scary to ask for extra patience from the same people keeping us here. i think transparency and honesty are the right call, though
