1/ So, this evening I returned to Berlin from Vienna, which Germany deems a “risk area” (a little ironic, since Berlin is not much better at the moment, but alas). That means I’m required to get tested and remain in quarantine until my results come back.
2/ When I got to Berlin’s Central Station, very clearly marked signs directed me to the on-site testing center, where I filled out some forms and waited to be called for a throat swab. Everyone was extremely friendly and the whole thing took about 15-20 minutes.
3/ I was told I should receive my test results within 3-4 days — a bit longer than I expected — and have to stay at home in quarantine until then; I’ll be able to get my results via Germany’s coronavirus tracking app.
4/ Thankfully I have a grocery delivery scheduled for tomorrow morning — if anyone has Netflix recs to keep me occupied, send them my way! Will update this thread as I hear more.
