To be really really honest, I’m more inclined to only interact with Jikook, because no matter how ridiculous some of their fans can get, and how over analytical, at least they aren’t as hypocritical as Taekook. And yes, I’m being bold with saying names this time.

It simply makes zero sense. All seven guys are so close and so kind, but for some reason it’s as if some Taekook fans can’t understand that they are being rude. They are being purposely obtuse and they gaslight like crazy. How do they have fun?

I’ve seen so many Taekook moments cut out other members, blatantly misconstrue the truth, or add their own context to JK’s or Tae’s facial expressions, and for what? To prove TK are perpetually jealous over each other and are working through a struggling relationship?

Why would you want that? Why not base your ship around the ACTUAL BOND that we see them have? They cuddle, they giggle, and they support each other. There’s no need to make it into something extra. And this goes for Jikook as well, because sometimes their fans do too much.

But what I’ve realized in the last two months, is that the fandom as a whole, doesn’t like Jikook that much. I’ve been lurking real hard for a little while now, and whether it’s ppl talking down to JK or JM or their bond, Army does not care too much for them.

Everything they do is brushed off “They’re literally brothers!” or attributed to them being forced to do it. Why? Why can’t they be close? Why is JK always accused of seeking attention? Why is JM always accused of being clingy and over the top? And it’s only ever them.

Tbh, this is in part why I feel Taekook is so popular. The fan made ship, not their actual relationship. I feel fans truly care more about seeing JK and Tae interact in any capacity, even if it’s just standing next to each other, because it means JK isn’t near JM.

And I understand that at one point, JK and Tae were closer. I understand that for OG fans, maybe it stings to see JK fall into a relationship with JM that they both are vocal about being protective of. Especially recently, with how JK and Tae spoke about their own bond.

But that doesn’t mean Tae and JK dislike each other. That doesn’t mean they stopped being friends. Whatever the tension between JK and JM was when they were younger, its clearly no longer there, and for whatever reason, they are now very close. But it shouldn’t threaten anything.

Yet it seemingly does, which is why ppl write J/K off as fan service. ALL THE MEMBERS DO FAN SERVICE. If you think the worlds biggest band isn’t doing stuff just to make fans happy, you’re naïve. BTS IS A JOB. They may love it and are passionate about it, but it is still a job.

So, I’m sorry, but some Taekook fans truly are sour. They are mean, vindictive, entitled, and petty. Taekook is not the end all be all. If you’re a fan who can’t separate yourself from a pairing of ppl you don’t know, maybe try finding a new hobby.

And while I know I spoke less on Jikook fans, I do feel similar. However, I simply haven’t seen Jikookers be this consistently terrible. Are some entitled? Yes. Do some overstep? Yes. But this level of hypocrisy, lying, and pettiness? No.

The Taekook ship, is not it. It is not the hill to die on. The Taekook bond, though? Beautiful. We love to see JK and Tae interact. We love to see them enjoy one another. The ship? Foul. Toxic, and full of made up narratives that don’t fit their real actions. Fix it.
