A man in an Audi intentionally drove into me and my 2 year old on our bike today in Hackney. She's traumatised and the back of our cargo bike is a mess. Why does driving make some people feel entitled to run cyclists off the road? @Hackneycyclist @MetCycleCops @jonburkeUK

@metpoliceuk didn't want to send officers when I called 999. I have to ask - if i'd been assaulted by a knife would officers have come? Why is it less serious when someone's driving a 1 ton 4x4? @London_Cycling

further - after reporting it as a crime I was called by @metpoliceuk to suggest reporting it as a traffic collision. It seems that as long as you commit a crime whilst in a car, you get the benefit of an assumption that it was an accident and protection from the law @MetCycleCops

Very grateful for the immediate support from @CarryMe_Bikes who offered to give me replacement cargo bike for free whilst ours is fixed. Amazing!
