Let's have a look at this thread of lies by @WHO.
Yes, #GBDeclaration is advocating for a Focused approach to managing the disease. Eventually herd immunity is reached whatever route you choose. It is not true that herd immunity can only be achieved through vaccines. 1/n https://twitter.com/WHO/status/1315674531600588801
Historically, both vaccines & natural transmission interplay to keep an infectious disease in check. (Vaccines are never 100% effective). Herd immunity is always the end result. It's not unethical. It's a natural phenomena, just like earth turns around itself. 2/n
We cannot compare #measles to #Covid19.
Studies have shown that herd immunity for C19 might be achieved at much lower levels of population infection... 20%.

We have to accept our human weakness in the face of this virus. It will run its course whether we like it or not. We can make it painful or we can make it bearable. On all counts, we will have losses. We can only try to minimize them. We cannot suppress/eliminate the virus. 4/n
T cell studies have shown that there is a long-lasting immune response.
"SARS-CoV-2 elicits robust, broad and highly functional memory T cell responses, suggesting that natural exposure or infection may prevent recurrent episodes of severe COVID-19." 5/n

What re-infectivity is the @WHO referring to? Do they mean those 2 cases talked about in the media?
We are 7.7 billion on this planet now. Someone tell them that public health policy cannot be built on anecdotal evidence. 6/n
Seroprevelance studies don't reflect the total number of infections in the community. They only measure antibodies which don't last too long following recovery. Surely, @WHO must have heard of T cells and perhaps maybe 1st line of defense and things like phagocytes... 7/n
What about 'Long FLU" and "Long Pneumonia"? I can also invent new words like these. Do other respiratory conditions not have longterm effects on vulnerable patients? Is this only true for #COVID19? 8/n
Do you mean close contacts within families and homes and not so much between passing-by strangers on the streets? So we shouldn't have locked down cities & imprisoned populations in close contact indoors? 9/n
People of all ages die all the time. It is very unfortunate. The median age of #COVID19 is around 80. The rest is anecdotal evidence. As a result of our response, so many have died due to missed treatment and many more will die due to missed early detection. 11/n
Who is counting excess deaths that are resulting from our miserable response to the pandemic? 12/12
