I called my MP's hill office and it went something like this:

"Hello, Robert Morrissey's office"
"Hi, I'm a consituent and would like to leave a message for Mr. Morrissey."
"Sure, go ahead."
"I appreciated his statement in the house regarding the importance of small businesses
"... and would ask him what he would do if small businesses in his riding were being viciously attacked, work vehicles burned, rocks thrown at them, and their hard work stolen. Because this is happening in Nova Scotia right now. I know his riding is here in PEI but we...
"... are on Mi'kmaki and we are here under Peace and Friendship treaties. These are nation-to-nation agreements. So as Mr. Morrissey is my representative in the government of this nation, I need him to take a stand against this overt racism.
"... I need him to show leadership in this, as a human, with responsibilities to the other humans we live with. I know it is scary to break away from the party line. I have spent my life climbing ladders by making people with power happy. I feel fear before speaking up. ...
"... and sometimes it seems like the whole thing will come crumbling down if there's even a crack in the absolute power of Canada to extract resources from the land and waters. But I assure him, it won't, and on the other side of that fear is a better world where we can
"... _all_ live together in peace and friendship. I look forward to hearing his remarks."

(pause)

"Thank you. I will pass on this message. I assure you this is a priority for him and he is discussing it with the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans, which is meeting...
"... this very minute."

"OK thank you."

"Thank you for calling."

"Have a beautiful day."
IT'S THAT EASY.

Okay, i mean, it took a while to collect my thoughts and I thank @ArnallLabrador for the most poignant wording, and there were nerves but

THAT IS THE POINT. THOSE NERVES ARE WHERE THE MAGIC IS.

Settlers, retweets aren't cutting it. Did you call? Write?
