I don't think many who have railed against City for the last 2 years would agree but City was not the club spoiling football. City invested in football wisely and that has shown results. Investments are good for any business. https://twitter.com/MirrorFootball/status/1316389831459696644
During the time that City was attacked with a frivolous case by the UEFA CFCB (which involved Rick Parry as well) & Sportswashing became a mantra, there were two clubs plotting a power grab that would decimate the football pyramid. Are both connected? I don't know..don't think so
But did the two clubs fan the flames burn City down? They certainly did. They intervened in the CFCB and the CAS process in a manner that was unprecedented. City's model was a risk to them. They've said that through so many mouthpieces. What is the threat?
It's not the bottomless pit of money like it's claimed. City are controlled by FFP and the owners haven't invested in the club in a long time. The threat is someone coming in willing to invest a large sum of money upfront to build infra and a team and fast track growth
How did that become a bad thing? If 20 new investors come in to the PL and Championship doesn't that improve the game on the whole? But to those who are averse to spending and are on top..pulling up the drawbridge was KEY to their control and survival. That was the real threat.
Now I've come to believe that not all of those writing about City in terms of Sportswashing etc are people who are in on a PR propaganda. They couldn't be if they are against the Project Big Picture. So I ask them to look again at the scenario with a fresh pair of eyes.
Because English football is the most watched globally. The Championship is the third most attended league in Europe. Two clubs decided through a PR war and back channel plotting to take control of the revenues, much the same way one of them took control of a club.
Like a magician they've kept the media and fans distracted while they've executed their plans. It never was the "Big Six" it was just two. I hope you will look at City more objectively and cover the teams in a more balanced manner.
P.S. You could connect so many events over the last 3 years to this power grab. This has been a sustained campaign for the last 3 years.
