LRT!!! I want to fucking scream all the time at people who say "local elections are so!! important!!" and it's like /for you/ but for /for me/ nope!! nobody runs against R's here and y'all won't listen or get it and I'm tiiired.

There is no election for me to fall back on to feel good, there is no election that makes me feel I have power in any way, at every level how I v*te is rigged, and you shouldn't be upset at /me/ but those intentionally rigged elections, jfc.

That "V*TE!!!" is honestly insulting to me as someone a lot of y'all wanted to cast off with my whole damn state because y'all didn't want to reflect that getting rid of my state won't get rid of wh*te s*pr*m*cy, and now we're fucking here.

What it would take is major protesting here, after major community building which would get heavily p*liced/stopped like always, and forcing change and that's what we all want to avoid but for some of us if we truly wanted change at the local level that is what it would take.

That is change that takes years and change that means some people would not come out safely to aspire to that change, but there is nobody to v*te for or against here, there is only ever 1 person in each position on the ballot because they rig it using p*lice/l*cal paper.

This isn't a consp*racy the*ry, this is real life, y'all, this is where I live.

Always afraid being real on this bc it's bad enough they do that then if you share ppl act like you're saying don't v*te & that's not what I'm saying, I'm saying for some ppl it does nothing & y'all do need to accept that is a reality & not blame people telling y'all the facts.

I want my fucking v*te to count, y'all, I want y'all with power to change things with y'all's v*tes to do that, if you feel safe then v*te, if it changes something then v*te, but don't talk over or attack people who y'all've always left behind in v*te conversations.

If I weren't semi-anon what I just made this thread about would not ever be safe to share as I live here, even anon during these times I worry about it coming back to bite me in the ass,

but I want to share my reality, so I take the risks.

Nothing I fear more than the locals here, and for good reason.
