I want to write a thread about what happened yesterday between the8th and @WritingToRiches

This thread only purpose is to give you some perspective

No bashing or trash talk

Just public warning

I'm always skeptical about most things (life taught me that)

I always try to see beyond the surface and figure out the end game for everybody

The leaders of this group all come from a high-level corporate background

They know what they're doing (kudos to them)

From my POV, their end-game is clearly influence, status, and authority

From my POV that's what they value (and if you read their tweets with an in-depth perspective I think you'll realize this as well)

They play for positioning (at least the people that are in charge)

Their true motives are hierarchical superiority but they disguise it as "I want to help you become a high-value man"

While I do respect some of the members inside (blocked most for partaking in that bs)...

For people who are self-proclaimed "strategists"

Their attempt to negatively impact Charles was cringy and laughable (to say the least)

Clearly ego driven

They should've known better

Charles has been on the platform for +1 year and has built a lot of good karma with a lot of powerful people

I would like to think they had the "We're the new kings of the yard" mindset yesterday

But clearly it did not go as they expected it to go

Their argument is "He sold our FREE intellectual property as his own"

Truth is, no information is new, when someone pays for an informational product it's because they want the author's take/framework on that particular subject

To say the information inside Charles's book (information and ideologies that have been around for a long time) was stolen from them is (again) laughable to say the least

Their argument looks like it comes from a place of bitterness and projection (imo)

The point of this thread is to promote people's critical thinking + independent thought and make them realize...

While everybody seems to have good intentions at the surface, the reality is humans are driven by their own self-interest (through whatever values they hold.)

I respect the8th and their message, their stance is this "I provide you free content for you to better your life"

But as we saw with yesterday's behavior, that only serves to mask the self-interest of the people in charge (power and influence)

The 8th comes off to me as a group of people who are trying to enforce their ideology unto other people

And while I like their ideologies and ways of thinking (some)

Their end-game seems clear to me

Power and influence (and I'm totally fine with that)

BUT if you're going to use that power and influence to partake in this disgusting mob-lynching type of behavior (especially with such a weak justification)

Then, I'm sorry, but I can no longer respect what you're doing

Now, to close this thread, I'm nobody, I don't like to be involved in drama on the TL

I'm just a spectator who didn't like what he witnessed yesterday (and has seen something similar before and didn't do anything before)

We all have perspectives

But (imo) people who want to play judge and executioner, never have your best interest at heart
