Don& #39;t know where you& #39;re laying, just know it& #39;s not with me
Don& #39;t know what I& #39;d tell you if I passed you on the street
heâs talking about times when theyâre in separate places and itâs hard to keep in touch. second line means not being able to communicate in public

I don& #39;t want your sympathy
But you don& #39;t know what you do to me
Oh, Anna
Every time I see your face
There& #39;s only so much I can take
Oh, Anna
there a lot to unpack here so continued ahead

firstly, letâs talk about how anna doesnât rhyme with the rest of the chorus at all. i know lyrics donât always have to match but itâs also sus how louis fits in perfectly. just try and replace it once
secondly if you look at his concerts he rarely says anna in the beginning of the song. iâm not saying it has to mean anything but just putting it out there
Don& #39;t know how you taste when there& #39;s smoke in your perfume
So chew me up and spit me out, nothing left to lose
guess whoâs known to regularly smoke and who h is so fond of.
also chew me up and spit me out is very similar to jalboyh and

Hope you never hear this and know that it& #39;s for you
I don& #39;t know what I& #39;d tell you if you asked me for the truth
it would be very obvious if he used a real name in the song and this clearly shows he wants to be subtle. if it was actually about a girl named anna it would be known

this convinces me that there isnât any âAnnaâ. reminder that h and l used to have girl code names when they talked about each other in interviews
also if he wanted it to be a stunt song (carolina hello) he wouldâve released it like the fandom has been begging him to, this was clearly more personal
the âif i could touch your bodyâ is inspired by the hit song, âFaithâ by outed George Michael which was to appeal to a more adult audience and get taken seriously.
another coincidence is the song having references to the song âFreedomâ by his previous group Wham!

just another thing that the chorus reminded me of was harry signing to an oblivious l in twitcams and then getting all shy like he didnât want l to know about how much he was staring. and i think we all know about his creepy love stare while l is usually slightly less obvious
end of thread!
