How to be a sleazy sales person

A thread...
Turning one-time clients into repeat customers comes down to two things:

1. Providing quality service that offers solutions to client’s needs

2. Maintaining a relationship that keeps your name on their mind so that you are the first person they come to when they need help
Above are things you should do.

Now, below are things you shouldn't do.

1. Your pitch is not more valuable than the client’s time.
Just like you, clients have a lot to do and very little time to get it all done.

If he has 5mins to talk, make your pitch in 5mins
2. Continuing your pitch after the client has made it clear she is not interested at this time (Many do this on Twitter).

Not only is this disrespectful of their time, it undermines the relationship you are working hard to establish.

If they are not interested, leave them alone
3. Continuing your pitch after the client has made it clear they are interested and will be using your services in the near future.

Continuing your pitch at this point will only mean one thing.

You are interested in making that sale than listening to your client.
4. Throw a tantrum when it’s clear your client will not be buying your product.

There are hundreds of reasons why a sale doesn’t close.

Regardless of the reason, you are a professional (and an adult) and should behave as such.
