I wanna do something fun when I wake up so maybe like this and I'll post a random puyo headcanon? It'll be about anything from my thoughts on worldbuilding to character relationships to stuff like gender/sexuality headcanons...
Reminder that these are all headcanons and not canon in anyway
One thing I think is that while Lemres and Feli are actually pretty smart, part of the reason they're in the school they go to is more because of their class than their actual intelligence...basically they're rich lol
I think all interpretations of the Madou/puyo timeline are right/nothing is inherently wrong, but I like to think the first puyo game is a timeline split after Michikusa Ibun but before final Exam, which explains why Arle sorta kinda acts like she hasn't graduated yet in puyo
IMO the madou puyo world and the fever puyo world are more connected by time rather than being actual separate dimensions, though suzuran and tetris dimensions are 100% different dimensions from the Puyo world...
I see Schezo as just an Ageless Guy but I feel like he's around 17-20ish age range if you really wanted to apply an age to him, but I don't think it really matters. He did age after getting cursed at 14 but his aging in general is like really really slowed
Leaning into big headcanon territory here lol, Klug and Raffina are childhood friends. I like to think they've been Like That since they were kids but it's never actually mean spirited and they do enjoy being around each other.
Sig and Lidelle are the only students who were born and raised in Primp Town, the others all moved in from other locations for schooling
This is a hc that's supported by canon but regardless it's a hc: the puyo 7 transformations are more akin to reflections of a characters inner perceptions of themselves rather than their actual past/future selves. I say supported by canon b/c Sig didn't have his red arm as a kid
Arle has always had natural potential for magic, the fairies just helped bring it out a bit earlier. If she was left to her own devices I like to think she would have discovered her magical potential on her own, but this is my headcanon
Schezo dropped out of school shortly after he was cursed, a lot of his magic knowledge was learned more through first-hand experience rather than through schooling but he has a lot of good natural instincts for it and picks up on magic systems pretty fast
Schools in madou era weren't focused on teaching how magic worked but more how to control and use it ethically since magic wasn't very common... by comparison Fever era schools are more focused on actual research, applying magic to daily life, and the history of magic conversely
Magic in puyo/madou is pretty much a reflection of a person's inner self which is why there's such a diverse range of spells but some people (i.e. Raffina) aren't able to really utilize their natural magic w/o a tool and it's somewhat seen as a disadvantage in Primp society
Suzuran has slightly different magic rules from Primp/Madou, they follow a lot more laws that exist in "our" world like laws of energy conversion and whatnot. Maguros magic is very physics based for example, using the kinetic energy from his kendama to cast spells
(counting this as a continuation of the last one lol) basically there's a lot more like...? Real world logic that's applicable to their magic, in Primp/madou magic exists naturally in their world but in suzuran something has to happen to sort of channel it. Idk
(cont.) Basically magic exists as a force already in Primp/madou and while it's a force in suzuran as well it's not as abundant or easy to tap into
Time for silly/cute headcanons....
Draco taking a lot of pride in her horns eventually gives Lidelle confidence to show hers off/show them without trying to hide them with her hair, and I like to think she styles her hair to eventually make them stand out
okay actually back to worldbuilding I like to think that Tetris magic follows similar principles to Suzuran but their laws of like.....physics and whatever are different because they're aliens.
I like to imagine that Ai wholly accepts that Ex is Ess's father upon finding it out (if he ever does) and he kind of sees her as a younger half-sister of sorts, this makes him a little more clingy to her at first but eventually she grows to enjoy being someone he can depend on
I think that the "T" in Tee stands for Transgender
in all seriousness Tee being one of the only teenage boys (or like? literally the only one?) in puyo that uses "ore" as a personal pronoun makes me go like oh u are trans gender? youre transing right now? youre trans?
omg I'm so tired but this thread is fun I want to keep going
I think there's a plethora of like immortal characters in puyo but I'd say Ecolo and Aya are both ageless cuz of the Circumstances surrounding them
The former being a literal interdimensional being that exists outside of time and space so I think a concept like age really doesn't mean anything for them

The latter being a half soul that was sealed for an amount of time that is unspecific outside of, "an absurdly long time"
I think immortal characters like. Age. They perceive time but they age slowly or don't age at all it's complicated. A character being ageless meaning that time as a concept probably has no like actual Meaning to their existence . This nuance is so hard to explain just trust me
