Loved one (teacher) got a positive COVID test result yesterday.
Main symptom was a headache.
Sore, hot-feeling eyes.
No temperature.
Very slight cough.
Taste & smell fine.
Be aware of these symptoms.

Close Contacts in Schools
SNA in class tested pos on Mon. Told the teacher she worked with all day NOT a close contact. Both SNA & Tchr v careful wore masks so NOT cc. Both pos!
The children SNA worked with NOT cc either if tog less than 15 minutes.

Told not to work if living with someone who has symptoms. 2 people sent home + their workmates. A tchr also sent home, but colleagues & pupils not even told & must not be.
Why different rules for teachers & schools?
Completely unsafe.

If there is an outbreak (more than 2 cases) in a business, we expect them to close.
When there IS an outbreak in a school, we have to keep it a secret & pretend it didn& #39;t happen.
Many schools have had to close due to COVID outbreaks.

It& #39;s a disgrace that the HSE refuse to consider school staff to be cc of each other or of the children they teach.
So many positive cases must be missed.
COVID is rampant in the community & in our schools.
