Every time I bring up SM needing to promote to the gen public, someone always tries to say I think that Taem isn’t popular or isn’t well known. Here’s what I actually mean:
Living in Korea, I can say that probably 99.9% of people know SHINee. Every adult I’ve talked to knows—

them. They are immensely popular.
And they’re treated with a kind of respect. Like, “if you like SHINee, you must have good taste”.
Despite this popularity though, I find that their songs aren’t well known. Most people know View and Move. A few here and there know a few others—

But that’s it, because they don’t follow SHINee’s activities. They like SHINee, they know they’re talented, they just don’t keep up.
And that’s what I mean by needing to promote for the gen public. SHINee isn’t the typical kind of popular.

If people know SHINee or Taem are releasing new songs, chances are they’ll look into it because it’s well known that SHINee puts out quality music. But the promo needs to be there for these people to find out in the first place.
