@MOPHQatar if you make me quarantine in December when I’ve taken all necessary precautions and tests for COVID, I’ll threaten suicide in the airport.
If not, I’ll induce a coma. If not, I’ll hunger strike.
Do you know how stupid it is to do an aggregate analysis of countries rather than localities and use it as the basis of what low risk and high risk should be defined as?
It’s indicative of a lazy, infantilizing approach to a very complicated subject. To label the US, where there’s a concentration of cases rather than diffuse cases, as a whole as high risk is inane. It differs significantly from county to county. This is stupid.
Right to movement in one’s own country does not magically disappear because you lack the necessary foresight to do something better than a hotel quarantine.
If I test negative, wear my mask where mandated, and take more precautions than your ministry’s employees, I shouldn’t have my right to movement taken away.
The incubation period is 3-5 days. The mandated tests last longer, why?
Does it make sense to do a two week quarantine when people consistently test negative even after the incubation period? No. Whoever’s making your mandates needs to have their IQ and cognitive capabilities checked.
I will be retweeting this thread daily until I get good, cogent arguments as to why you’re not idiots and how it’s actually a moral thing to deprive a person of the right to be in close vicinity with their family members.
