nct world 2.0 press conference: a translation thread

the host is park jisun, an honorary czennie she said we’ll watch highlights and then the members will come and answer questions!

theyre stuck in the time between the time since they debuted in 2016 until now.

to escape they need to clear the 23 missions!
“the first member to attempt a challenge” everyones chanting moon taeil but it’s actually going to be jisung!!

jisung opened the box and theyre trying to guess what’s in it. this challenge is inspired by park jisung, the famous soccer player hahaha.

haechan: what do we do jisung is bad with machines!!

jisung: ok this is easy i get it
jaemin: if you get it then hurry up!!!

sungchan was pretending to be a commentator HAHAH
he got the goal!! they’re playing the cheers for famous soccer player park jisung in the bgm LOL

next player is yangyang!
jungwoo: yangyang? sheep sheep!
yangyang’s mission is to take out the table cloth without ruining the setting

he failed and theyre all helping him set up again. i think jaehyun said something encouraging in chinese

doyoung said yangyang’s mission is impossible sungchan said lucas u can go help if u want to and jungwoo said whoever’s confident. lucas said hes confident so he went down to help them!

doyoung came down too HELP. hendery said all 23 members r gonna be there by the end. yangyan succeeded!

next is taeyong! his mission is to beat all the mini games scores.

park jisun: how was the highlight? im excited for tomorrow! please give them a lot of support. you’ve waited a lot right? members please come to the stage!

the members present are taeyong, doyoung, sungchan, shotaro, kun, winwin, jeno, and chenle!

the pd said he’s honored to do a program with korea’s best group!!

kun said he’s excited to complete missions with his members! park jisun said it’s been a while teddy ear kun!

taeyong said he’s excited to share their experiences with everyone! winwin said please look forward to them! park jisun gave them both compliments and said doyoung is good at speaking

sungchan said this was his first reality show and it was fun being with his hyungs! chenle said he’s excited for this! shotaro said he had so much fun filming and hopes we like it :)) park jisun said his eye smile is so pretty!

“what’s the biggest difference btwn nct world 2.0 versus other reality programs?”
pd: i created a multiverse so we can meet nct from the past, present, and future. 2.0 means 2020 as well as nct’s new image! you can see all of nct in this show.

park jisun said he cheered while each member introduced themselves and that he mustve filmed this show while caring a lot for the members. pd said he’s been filming with them since MAMA at their debut and hes honored to be able to film w them

“any difficult aspects filming this show?”
pd: no, since i’ve seen these members for a long time there were not many difficulties. i hope we can make nct world 3.0. it was not hard at all, we had a lot of fun!

mc park jisun asked how it was filming w all 23 members and mentioned how she saw lucas cheering them on when filming got long. taeyong said he was worried at first but it was a good experience, it felt like a classroom and they had fun chatting w each other even off camera.

doyoung said he wondered how it wouldve been to be in one classroom with 23 members! the pds, staff, and managers guided them well like teachers. doyoung said it felt like they went to go play and got to talk abt a lot of personal stuff w each other as well

“any particular memory or episode while filming?”
taeyong: there were times i saw very new, cool images of my members. since im leader, i kept an eye on every member and saw how cute they all were. he said shotaro and sungchan were so cute!

the mc asked if we can look forward to dotae bickering in the show. doyoung said they bicker a lot in their every day life and he wonders if it’ll come out on the show LOL.

jeno said he remembers how determined all 23 members were to escape the giant cube they were stuck in, and that all the reactions were very real.

the pd promised to give jeno opportunities to wear glasses with no dose.

chenle asked if he can spoil something and said they filmed a sports competition and that there was a (i forgot what u call it in soccer but its when u shoot goals at the end of the game to determine the winner lol) he said he was surprised at how good he was.

kun says he remembers jaehyun using his strength in the games. the pd said jeno also showed his strength in the show!

the pd is explaining how he thought of the cube set! he said he wanted to create a place that mimics a multiverse and shows every single member. he wanted each cube to represent their own space, such as where they were born.

taeyong said when he first saw the cube, he felt the money power of the program and how they spent a lot of efforts for them! but then he also felt he wanted to get out once they were stuck there. he said he wouldnt want to go back to the cube though

winwin said the cube was very small and that he felt very small. he was very amazed!!

the mc said chenle could buy his own cube if he wanted to. chenle said he overreacted a lot in the cube LOL.

question: please choose a point that u want the viewers to focus on for the image of nct!
pd: think of the cube like a portal where they can pass through time. for instance, u can see high schooler nct, or the future nct. you can see many different ncts so pls look forward to it

doyoung said he was very surprised of the scale of the cube set and that it’s hard to see on an idol program. he thinks the scale of mnet’s resources will make the show exciting for the viewers.

shotaro said please look forward to everything! jeno said look forward to chenle’s confident reactions!

taeyong said it’ll be fun to watch how the editing and that he trusts that his members will turn out very funny and cool!

question: are there any new charms you found in other members while filming?
chenle said doyoung’s athleticism. dy hyung usually seems calm and soft but he was very competitive and good at running.

question: are there any new charms you found in other members while filming?
taeyong: sungchan and chenle were on the same team. sungchan is similar to jungwoo with very bright and funny energy. he also said to look forward to doyoung and chenle’s chemistry!

question: are there any new charms you found in other members while filming?
doyoung: when i first heard all 23 of us will film w mnet, i was worried how all 23 of us will show our charms. but the pd did a good job showing each of our charms for all members so im v thankful!

question; were there any members that shocked u with their variety skills?
pd: all of them did a great job they showed a lot of energy during the sports competition, i was surprised. taeyong did a great job taking care of the members, as expected from the leader!

question: any specific charm u saw in members?
sungchan: jungwoo’s fan dance- (then they all freaked out bc it mightve been a spoiler HELP)
the mc said he mustve seen jungwoo as a role model then and sungchan said yes!

pd said the show is all connected from start to finish and to look forward to their ending image. the mc said since nct’s concept is limitless, she hopes this show also is limitless too!

pd said these members shouldnt be here right now they should be touring the world and meeting their fans but he hopes through this show, theyll connect with their fans all around the world even if they are not in the same place.
