A reminder that October is Filipino American History Month! It commemorates the first recorded presence of Filipinos in what is now California back in 1587.
Filipino Americans are the second largest Asian American group in the US.
We are everywhere.

Growing up in areas with very few Filipinos in parts of NY, it meant so much to me to gain so many Filipino friends and colleagues once I moved to California.
I was pleasantly surprised that there were so many of us when I started working at IGN, and again at GameSpot.
