1/I’ve had a lot of so-called conservatives rip me a new one lately for “beaking off” about what the provincial government is doing to us. Let me be clear: I earned the right to be pissed off. I was a conservative back in the day that they could care about the economy & people.
2/I backed a municipal candidate in 2007 who was part of the kitchen table cabinet that launched the Reform party. I worked on two nominations in 2008, federally & provincially, for conservatives. And you know what I got in return?
3/I had the pleasure of being told by a long standing provincial conservative strategist that mobilizing the “ethnic” vote involved stuffing “them” into buses with the name of the candidate, and then buying them drinks after they cast their ballots.
4/When I rather naively questioned what we should do with the educated “ethnics”, I was advised that there are none. Boom. That’s when the parting of ways started.

There have been some bright points for conservatives in this province, but the darkness that prevails is too heavy.
5/So don’t ask me to turn my cheek to blatant disregard for Calgarians & Albertans by a government that promised us more. Don’t ask me to be a sheep. And don’t ask me to be one of the “ethnics” that get told how to vote.

Get woke, people. You’re being taken for a ride.
