Y'all got Ruby all the way wrong. She isn't dickmatized, she's not obsessed with whiteness, she's not chasing after Christina (Christina is smitten with Ruby, hard) & she's ain't anyone's slave. JUST last ep she talked about how she didn't want to be white, that's not her goal.

Her goal is to create a safe space for Black people by using magic. She trust Christina as much as she does because Christina has never broken her word to Ruby and while Christina may withhold information, she has never out right lied to Ruby when directly asked.

I don't understand what folks think Ruby can do for Tic? Like, who is Tic to Ruby? He's a jobless dude, who is constantly in danger, has an anger problem & has knocked her sister up.

ALSO! She was there when Leti told the story about trying to trade magical knowledge for Tic's safety and how Christina refused. Ruby called in the favor to help Diana, let's not forget that. Everything Ruby said about Tic and Montrose is true; they're toxic.

Ruby knows better than anyone that Christina is not about to give up her life's greatest ambition and she knows Tic knows what's about to happen. What can she do in the face of all that? She did what she could and looked out for HER family, her sister.

Honestly, a lot of the criticism I'm seeing aimed Ruby seems real mad that this fat, darkskinned woman has centered herself and her sister instead of Atticus.

We don't usually see women who look like Ruby putting themselves and their family first, instead of some man. Also, remember, Ruby said her mom was a hustler and I believe Ruby has a plan.
