Hey Twitter Fam- I'm going to tell you a super inspiring story about, & I'm going to ask for your help.

For a while now, I've been attending my local NAACP meetings, & have gotten involved in supporting the local projects our members are organizing.

This summer I met Lorenzo.

Lorenzo is amazing. He's a veteran who did two tours in Vietnam. A father and grandfather. And active volunteer in our community. Lorenzo started a program this summer call "Black Kids Matter." Because covid was and is hitting communities of color at higher rate than other communities, Lorenzo got a friend who owns an ice cream truck to collaborate with him on an amazing project.

Lorenzo & his ice cream truck friend would travel into mostly Black & Brown neighborhoods in our community, & pass out FREE ICE CREAM & FACE MASKS. He also gave kids hand sanitizer & info to take home to their parents on how to register to vote.

Folks, he did this ALL SUMMER.

Free ice cream and free face masks. ALL. SUMMER.

At the end of the summer he wanted to give all the kids who were coming regularly for face masks and ice cream, t-shirts that said "Black Kids Matter."

He needed to raise $2000 for shirts. Right now, he's about $1300 shy.

I asked Lorenzo at tonight's meeting if I could share what he's doing on social media and he was thrilled! Sooooo...

Can we get Lorenzo and his amazing project his funding? I think we can!
