Righteousness Part 2

Righteousness is a gift, it is a FREE gift given to you by virtue of your born again experience.

Even before you committed your first sin, you were a sinner, by virtue of being born by a man by a woman. Sin was handed over to you as a gift from Adam.

You believed and accepted that you were a sinner even when you hadn’t knowingly committed any sin in your life.

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come
Romans 5:14

Similarly, righteousness is handed over to you as a gift when you give your life to Christ

“One man, Adam, did not obey God, and death began to rule everyone as a result. But what the one man, Jesus Christ, did is much greater! Because of him, people can become right with God. They receive that GREAT GIFT from God because he is very good and very kind.
Romans 5:17 EASY

“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)”

Christ is our righteousness. When God sees you, He doesn’t see all the sins you’ve committed, He sees Christ, someone who has done something right.

“For God made Christ who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him”
2 Corinthians 5:21

The last thing I want to share today is that, God doesn’t accept you as right with Him because of the good you do. He accepts you because of your belief and acceptance of what Christ did.

“I want to be united with him. Because I believe in Christ, God accepts me as right with him. I know that I cannot become right in any other way, even if I obey all of God's Law. When I trust in Christ, God accepts me as right because of my faith.”
Philippians 3:9 EASY

I think it is time to accept this free gift of righteousness today by accepting Christ.

You can do all the good in this world, follow all the laws to the letter and still miss heaven.

Get right with God, ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST TODAY!!!
