I know a lot of you actively involved in the protest may have your social media, email etc accounts at risk of being hacked, whether remotely or in person by the police officers so I’ve thought of a few things to help
Please and please, turn on your two factor authentication for all your accounts! I’m actually begging!
Secondly, I don’t even think your phone numbers are risk free so instead of getting your codes sent to your phones, download an authentication app. I suggest the Microsoft authentication app for the reason below
If anyone is trying to access your account remotely, at least you have your phone with you so you can prevent it. However if it’s one of these stupid police officers trying g to login to your account if you’ve logged out, that becomes a problem
Microsoft authentication app has a lock option where the app is locked so the code doesn’t pop up or even a notification. It is only you that knows that you should go into the app to find it.
Let’s use the illiteracy of these officers to our advantage since I doubt they know what an authentication app is.
Please share the word
Also, phishing emails will be at an all time high! Do not click on any email attachments you are not certain of or links in your emails and text messages. Let’s try to avoid the govt tracking our comms and infringing on our digital rights
