Let's dive into someone's fandom in #DesignResearch part two

Hello! Last week i understood that research is truly essential in design.
But before implying into my assignment design process, i need some practice beforehand. Lucky, this week we have some practice assignment

But let's talk more about the theories!
Research is divided into many categories

First based on the data-gathering
Quantitive research : deals
w/ objective data such as numbers
and logic
Qualitive research : deals w/subjective material such as words and images

Based on proximity and specificity of source

Primary research : gathering data directly (surveys, observational research)
Secondary research : relying on already existing data when carrying out a systemic investigation (jornal, verified article)

So let's start the practice! ˙︶˙)ﾉ

We told to do research based on the second aspects. We work in team of two and i was assigned with Fimala @nairegatnom

For Primary Research we used interview to gather information

She's into shounen manga that adapted into animation. Her top favorite are Haikyuu! and Hunter x Hunter

Her playlist mostly consisting of her favorite anime's OST too, and K-Pop musics. Her favorite artists are BTS and Day6

She also into K-Dramas and K-Movies. Her favorite are Welcome to Waikiki and Because This Is My First Life

She also enjoy traveling! One of her favorite travel story was when she went to Singapore only with her sister

Wow she has a lot of interests right?

After this first-hand information, time to do more googling, alas Secondary Research to getting know more of Fimala!

What is shounen manga?

Shōnen manga are manga marketed toward young teen males. The age group varies with individual readers and different magazines, but it is primarily intended for boys between the ages of 12 and 18.

Shounen manga tackling many genres, from action, fantasy, to romance. Popular shounen manga more likely adapted into animation.

Majority of it mostly about friendship between teammates, friendly rivalry, and trying to reach a seemingly unattainable dream.

Korean has a huge influence to our entertainment these days, from music to drama and movies. From music, boygroup and girl group has a wide world popularity thanks to their amazing performance and differ genres. Bands and indie musics starts to rise their populariy too.

Movies and Dramas from Korea also has engaging storyline, attractive-looking actor and actress with great acting skill, and amazing crew teamwork that form high quality results.

With many hobbies that make her stay home, she balances it with her hobby to traveling, which has many benefits. It helps you broaden your horizon, enhace creativity to reduce stress.

She also into drawing amazing fanarts based on her many interests she shared through instagram!

In conclusion, Fimala is a homebody thanks to her hobbies which she balances with her hobby for traveling. She is mainly into stories that about friendship and gives motivation with many forms. She also a great fanartist mainly based on instagram!
