I knew Harold Shipman growing up. He was a few years older than me but lived a few streets up. Lovely lad. Great sense of humour and always up for a kick about. I do feel he went too far in what he did though.

what he did was over the top but he wasn’t always the monster the media has portrayed him as. He was a good laugh and a brilliant footballer. Couldn’t tackle but brilliant first touch and an excellent finisher. I’ve got Christmas cards from him! Probably worth a few Bob now!
