✨Why Karl Marx was actually a classical Conservative✨A thread
1 - He was in favour of "whitering away of the state". Small government is one of the fundamental principles of conservatism. That's why classical conservatives support unions and collective bargaining. The government should support worker organisation to makes itself obsolete
2 - He believed in "From each according to ability; to each according to need" An old christian quote with the goal to distribute resources in an efficient manner. No entitlements! Being fiscally responsible is eventually a conservative principle.
3 - He believed in owning the fruits of your labour. What Marx called "Labour Theory of Value" is nothing but ancient argument against stealing someones rightful income by harnessing the fruits of owns labor without doing any work
I hope this thread gave you some insight into what actual conservatism is. The GOP needs to embrace these traditional values that modern conservatives have forgotten. Here some other classical Conservatives I would recommend you: Olof Palme, Friedrich Engels and Bernie Sanders.
