“Originalist” isn’t just code for white supremacy and rolling back civil rights. It’s also code for “new Constitutional Convention” and a lot of y’all do not seem to recognize that.

I suggest many of you google “GOP new Constitutional Convention” and read those articles. This has been the plan of the GOP for decades. This is what all the gerrymandering and voter suppression has been about. And they’re not that far from getting it.

This isn’t hidden or obscure or just on conspiracy YouTube.

From the CBS piece: “Article V of the U.S. Constitution describes how Congress "on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments... the U.S. has never actually amended the Constitution in this way.”

Originalist is code for “we only need a couple more states and we can do whatever we want to the Constitution.”

I really, really need you guys to recognize that.

This is also why they are howling at the idea of balancing the courts once they’ve stacked it.
