IDK about you guys but i haven't been excited about anything #Tolkien related for a long while now. Its pretty much just "Norse+Celtic myth but sorta racist-er and super conservative."

Now, this is absolutely not to say that i didn't love the books for their surface level story, #thehobbit is a masterclass in storytelling and #LOTR is absolutely amazing at displaying landscape and emotions, but it's sorta in the same way i love #narnia .

I just don't really get excited about things set in those settings, because there's too much attached, and an original story would just be so much more interesting. Anyway, thats just my take, what do you guys think?
