NEW: 'Fatima'’s dance school responds

▪️Vibez in Motion Dance Studio tell @Channel4News they are 'deeply disturbed by the improper use of the photograph.'

▪️They are taking legal advice.
The original photo features two dancers.

Tasha Williams is the woman sitting next to 'Fatima'.

Tasha is the owner and director of Vibez in Motion dance studio.
We have asked the studio to elaborate on their remarks to clarify whose actions in particular have 'deeply disturbed' them.
It is not clear when exactly 'Fatima''s dance school became aware of their appearance in a UK Government-backed advert.

An email from Vibez in Motion to @Channel4News states:

'I am working closely with my attorney to explore my options.'
The ad is from the "Rethink. Reskill. Reboot" campaign that started last year.

Yesterday a Number 10 spokesperson said the advert was ‘not appropriate’ and had been removed.

The UK Culture Secretary called it 'crass'.
'Fatima''s dance school is located in Fayetteville, near Atlanta, Georgia.

They evidently have a strong sense of community purpose - motivating and empowering young people through the medium of dance.

It seems to be working. It looks like a very uplifting project.
There is a giant slogan in the dance studio that reads 'Vibes Speaks Louder Than Words'.

Another photo is accompanied by the words ‘Progress is Impossible Without Change'.

The now notorious image of 'Fatima' was taken by Atlanta-based photographer Krys Alex.

It was uploaded to http://Unsplash.com , a source of 'freely-usable' images, in 2017.
The dance studio has posted a number of graceful images of 'Fatima'.

She is not an actress, as some claimed, nor is she British, nor is she called Fatima. So her appearance in a UK Government-backed ad must have come as something of a surprise.

(She really didn't know it).
If you're reading, 'Fatima', we'd love to hear from you.

(DMs open).
As some have pointed if the photo was obtained from Unsplash then permission may have been required to use it. Not so much ‘Free to Use’ more ‘Talk to a Lawyer’.
