Page of Swords (for a collab)

I don't usually comment on my own art, but this time is kinda different. The main concept was "Page of Swords", so the image of a loyal servant immediately popped up in my mind. I then decided to take the concept of loyalty to the extreme: as soon as he realizes the war he's(1/N)

taking part in, as the helper of his lord, is lost, he decides to take his own life before falling in the hands of the enemy, potentially revealing precious informations about his lord. As soon as the tip of the sword touches his belly, the purpose of his entire life (2/N)

is fulfilled, a halo appears around his hair, while life fades away from his body.

I'm not going to comment on the meaning of this act for me, nor about whether I consider this a good action or not. This is up to you, but I still wanted to tell the story behind this piece (3/N)

mostly because I'm trying to improve on this part of making art. Especially since this is a big part of what Art is to me haha. Well, I hope you enjoyed this thread :)
