This has been a huge team effort by an incredible group of feminist ECRs: @jacasiegel, @AnnaHenschel, @CatherineTalb, @helenahhartmann, @kohinoordarda, @AleLautarescu, @KellyElizaLloyd, & @Parise_CM, @KarenTang_ (and we met on #AcademicTwitter, yay!) 2/6
In the paper, we outline how ECRs who stem from a feminist lens may navigate #OpenScience in unique ways and face different kinds of barriers to participation including (but not limited to) concerns around the marginalisation of feminist work, invisible labour, and wellbeing. 3/6
We also highlight the immense contributions that ECRs have made to the Open Science movement, shine light on grassroots ECR-led initiatives, and celebrate how collaboration and collegiality are both values that Open Science and feminist psychology share 4/6
We end with a set of 6 practical recommendations for feminist ECRs hoping to engage with Open Science practices, which are summarised in this nifty 1-minute explainer video! 5/6 https://www.powtoon.com/s/bHT5FqmUvjS/1/m
I have never enjoyed working on a paper so much. This really was a joyous collaborative project. We welcome any feedback on the preprint! You can email me using the contact details on the preprint 6/6
