HOW A COUNTY JUDGE SEAT COULD HAVE HUGE RAMIFICATIONS FOR TEXAS TURNING, AND STAYING, BLUE

The Attorney General of Texas is Ken Paxton. In summary, he’s as awful as they come. Although he’s supposed to uphold the law, in 2015 he was indicted on 3 criminal charges...

1/
His lawyers have successfully been able to delay the case so the indictments just continue to languish outside the courtroom.

As if that’s not bad enough, he’s recently been “accused by seven of his most senior aides of bribery and abuse of office.”

These are Paxton’s own top aids! In a letter these aids stated, “we have a good faith belief that the attorney general is violating federal and/or state law including prohibitions related to improper influence, abuse of office, bribery and other potential criminal offenses.”

The AG has a lot of power in Texas. All those lawsuits brought against the ACA from Texas? Thank Ken Paxton for that. His own website states, “Attorney General Paxton led a successful multistate coalition against the Obama-era Clean Power Plan.”

5/
He’s quick to fight vigorously against Obama legislation but as for protecting voter rights? Crickets.

We need to think long term. For Texas to turn blue and stay blue we need an AG that will uphold the law and not be an indicted criminal and political hack.

6/
We need an AG that will fight against the egregious voter suppression efforts brought on by Republicans not someone who will turn a blind eye to them.

7/
Paxton wanted the case moved to Collin County because that’s his home turf, and he thinks he’ll get preferential treatment there.

This case could fall in the 416th District Court of Collin County. We need a judge who will fairly preside over the case if that happens.

9/
We can ensure that happens by supporting @CreevyforJudge. If we get Theresa Bui Creevy on the 416th District Court that will ensure a fair trial, and the facts will speak for themselves.

Sadly, a conviction won’t guarantee Paxton leaves office, but it’s an important first step.
