I put all of my usual updates in this thread because I am not too well and it'll be easier to just do one for the day. I'll do more when I can.

There's a few spots of encouragement today but the overall infection levels in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Europe remain high.
ROI:

Last 24 hours:

Tests: 15,029
Positives: 855
Negativity rate: 94.31%

5.7% positivity last 24 hours is an improvement on the previous 2 days, which was 7.2%.

Too early to call this a trend but you obviously take any slightly improved day you can get right now.
Case announced today may or may not exceed that number due to the weekend lag, possibly 930 ish.

Positives are not the same as a new case, so there is always a differential when you account for multiple consecutive positives (repeat testing happens a lot in hospitals).
14-day cases per 100,000:

NI: 562.1
ROI: 167.7

Top 10:

Derry City & Strabane: 1,587.6
Belfast: 765.7
Newry & Mourne: 654.9
Mid-Ulster: 625.0
Lisburn & Castlereagh: 407.1
Antrim & Newtonabbey: 396.7
Cavan: 385.9
Donegal: 354.9
Fermanagh & Omagh: 367.2
Monaghan: 330.7
Positives:

-Newry & Mourne 2nd consecutive day no increase, turned a corner.

-Derry & Strabane possibly plateauing, similar tentative comment for Donegal (and Clare possibly too, outside that top 10).

Negatives:

-Belfast and Cavan continue relatively strong, steady growth.
Nursing homes:

Infection getting in both sides, more so in Northern Ireland due to their infection levels, but will also happen here soon.

Northern Ireland now has 63 nursing home outbreaks (53 confirmed, 10 suspected) compared to only 3 on August 13th, so +60 outbreaks.
ROI:

Hospital admitted: 242
ICU: 32

At current case rates, we will see 540 in hospital and 85 in ICU early November.

NI:

Hospital admitted: 150
ICU: 23

NI is a lot smaller and only has 12 ICU beds free, so that is going to get very tight over the next fortnight.
In Europe:

UK, Belgium and Netherlands are in rapid growth, while Spain/France plateaued slightly:

14-day incidence per 100,000:

Czech Republic: 521.1
Belgium: 429.5
Netherlands: 387.0
Spain: 299.8
France: 299.7
UK: 268.1

Slovakia (202.0) and Slovenia (165.2) also a worry.
In terms of recent deaths, we're joint 18th in EU/EEA and 23rd in Europe.

14-day deaths per 100,000:

Czech Republic: 4.1
Romania: 3.7
Spain: 3.6
Hungary: 2.4
Belgium: 1.8
Poland: 1.6
France: 1.5
Bulgaria: 1.5
UK: 1.3
Croatia: 1.3

18. Ireland: 0.5
In terms of ICU, Germany is a peculiar one because ICU has risen to 590 in the last few weeks, despite a relatively low 14-day incidence.

Outside Europe, Argentina badly needed a good weekend but didn't get it, and ICU has risen to 4,287. They are massively overstretched.
Bright spots of encouragement if you look for them.

The positivity rate here in last 24 hours would need to be repeated for the next few days to give any confidence of slowing momentum.

-Mask over nose
-Hand washing does matter
