1. To shamelessly promote one's published writings with well timed Tweets, retweets and on occasion, subtweets.

2. To respond to a tweet with the perfect gif no one would expect (usually representing pigtails, which brings you back to definition 1)

A solid @alexasommers'ing will be contain witty wordplay that ties, said shameless promotion to the thread in question or the tweet you are replying to.

You can not simply post a link, doing so is shameless hijacking and frowned upon, you must make it relevant.

A unique GIF to accompany said shameless promotion is not required, but is recommended. @SandsShay has nearly perfected this art and I will refer you to her feed for fantastic examples.

The GIF's quality and uniqueness are vital, pigtails will obviously earn bonus points
