High School esports coaches.

These are a couple things you can create/provide right now to colleges to get your players get scouted.

Small thread:
ALWAYS have your players stream their POV (with comms) to a private stream and compile them either on a google drive or a private youtube channel.

Coaches want to look at gameplay and showing their POV is the best format. Make a habit of this for every block.
Have them create social media accounts and begin building their brands. Branding is extremely important in esports and if you lay the groundwork now, it saves the university time building it up later. They will APPRECIATE this.
Provide a short video of the player similar to the one below.

Ask the players about their academic experience, their GPA, a snapshot of how they handle classes and manage prac.

For in game stuff ask what their strengths are and what they're working on.
Continuing above, it is important to show the personality of the player and give a little bit of insight into who they are before the interview. There is a lack of personal touch when colleges only see the username and their gameplay. (This is just as important as gameplay)
I can add more things such as .rofl files (when being actively scouted) but these are things not every game has access to.

If you do the things listed above, you will be ahead of the vast majority of schools that are promoting players. Maryville looks for this.
Last thing: have the player create a resume. I understand these are high school kids so they won’t have a ton of experience but showing involvement in other areas of campus and their esports accolades in a one page attachment is always nice. These 3 things will set you apart.
Please do not send only highlight reels of diamond solo q. They don’t indicate the players level. We want to see full games and how the player approaches different game states. Highlight plays are cool but we need to see the overall foundation we are working with in a scrim.
