Please stop having protests at Hennepin County Jail. It puts the jail on lockdown, which punishes the folks inside by delaying their releases and making it impossible for anyone to pay their bail. Please remember our incarcerated comrades who can't be with us on the streets.
It also makes people inside displeased with the movement, and that's how we get the orange shirts, which primarily consists of formerly incarcerated folks.
This thread is based off of a conversation someone had while in jail briefly with incarcerated folks that have been in there for a while. Sometimes the jail releases folks out of the during protests, but it's not guaranteed.
