Spooky Movies this season: a thread.
The Village. [2004, dir. M. Night Shyamalan]

I really enjoyed it, Bryce& #39;s character is so sweet and strong. The music is beautiful, too. I jumped from my chair a few times https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😅" title="Lächelndes Gesicht mit offenem Mund und Angstschweiß" aria-label="Emoji: Lächelndes Gesicht mit offenem Mund und Angstschweiß">.

And, the twits in the story were surprising to me.
Las brujas de Salem (The crucible)
[1996, dir. Nicholas Hytner]

This one here shows how a person can collectively manipulate and influence an entire community just to do her wish.

Winona& #39;s character (and performance) makes you loathe her, and the final scene is just on point.
The Witch. [2015, dir. Robert Eggers]

This one really gave me shivers. It& #39;s dark and the sobrenatural elements are there. I like the way the folklore was shown.

Also, it reminds me some stories of my own town, so it makes everything extra terrifying. This is a must.
Midsommar. [2019, dir. Ari Aster]

Mind-blowing is how I would describe this one here. I wasn’t expecting many of the twist in the story. At the end I was still processing the whole plot.

The cinematography is really nice, and the music gave me shivers. It’s a good one.
Black Death. [2010, dir. Christopher Smith]

It’s enjoyable; maybe the characters and the plot are missing a little bit of development, but it’s a good movie to watch for this season.

The cast is good and the climax of the story is a plus.
La prometida del diablo [2016, dir. Saara Cantell]

Based on a true story. The performances and cinematography of this one is great. The story is, also, amazingly written.

It’s a very good option to watch in this season, and to learn a little more about the subject.
Gretel and Hansel [2020, dir. Oz Perkinz]

The story is good. I like that it’s sort of a mix between the traditional fairy tale and the folklore that involves witchcraft.

The cinematography is minimalistic but very nice and the performances are good, too.
Dracula Untold [2014, dir. Gary Shore]

This is one of those movies you watch on a weekend evening. The story is nice and the costume design is amazing.

Another huge plus is the music, in charge of the talented Ramin Djawadi. Maybe not a must, but definitely very enjoyable.
With these I conclude this thread. Those are just the movies we watch along this October, of course, it could be more.

So, prepare popcorns and a big glass of soda and enjoy this, with yourself, or in company.
