Ghost Of Tsushima by @SuckerPunchProd a thread;
To preface this, this thread will contain:
- My opinion on the game as a whole
- Fav moments and screenshots
- Screen captures I've taken that I didnt't want to spam the timeline with on a daily basis for the past 2-3 weeks of playing this game
So I'll start this thread of by saying this game is an absolute masterpiece. A perfect end to the generation of PS4 games we had over it's 7 year long run. While it might seem like any other open world game at first with nice graphics at first. (cont)
It has a satisfactory amount of depth to feel like i'm not repeating things too many times. I do believe that it's playtime hit the sweet spot for me as it never got up to a point where it became repetitive. (cont)
So now in terms of combat. I just felt badass most of the time (playing on normal). It's not a soulslike so it's not supposed to be hard. However I felt it to be engaging enough to be stylish and creative with fights. Which is what the devs intended I guess (cont)
Regardless of Ghost or Samurai both felt fun either way. Anyways moving on to the general gameplay. It's the standard clear open world objectives & do missions but with a slight twist. The presentation. (cont)
Maps aren't marked, you follow the wind, you follow foxes and pet them, you follow yellow birds to do haikus, bamboo cutting and etc Everything begs for your attention but it doesn't pull you out of the game. (cont)
The missions never felt like "missions" it felt like small stories, a short part of a film. This is mostly due to how the game shows itself like an Akira Kurosawa film. So the presentation felt like an integral part of the experience. (cont)
This game hit the mark on all aspects in worldbuilding and storytelling. The Kamakura/Edo Japan setting is brilliant (despite the historical discrepancies bcs of gameplay reasons), Jin is a great protagonist and the world itself beautiful and has it's own personality (cont)
I would like to add Jin Sakai is a brilliant protagonist and his characterization and how he grows throughout the journey felt very intimate. From Samurai to Ghost. Credit to @dicek2g for playing the Ghost
(Spoilers) Kage's departure HURT. @lyingravity can confirm this since she watched me stream that particullar section of the story aha
Thats all I have to say for this game asides from the obvious simping of the graphics but I'll let the screenshots do the talking. (cont)
TLDR; 10/10 game
Amazing presentation
Great Story
Mindblowing Graphics
Fun Gameplay
