Why is there less talk of "Free Tibet" now?
Why have the riots in Tibet disappeared?

Once in a decade you find a positive article on China. China has focused on the development of economy, building infrastructure, boosting the tourism and raising people's standards of https://twitter.com/MuppetPowerrrrr/status/1315047043149242370
2/ living in Tibet. Contrary to what the author alleges, there's freedom of religion and speech in China. The part which is censored is to use religion and freedom of speech for separatist terrorist movements or for color revolutions to overthrow the central government.
3/All religious groups are urged to be patriotic. All religions are urged not to involve in treasonous activities, ie, degenerate into Trojan horses of the West to destabilize China. Isn't it legitimate enough?

The fact that Uighur and Tibetan separatists/terrorists are
4/ all financed by CIA/NED automatically qualify their movements as treasonous activities with a US/West agenda.

Before 2008, as the Tibetan tourism and economy developed, the region attracted a lot of people from other provinces to do business.
5/ Most Tibetans were slaves before the 1950s and after that the whole China's economy stagnated for decades. The Tibetans didn't have the same millennial business acumen as Han Chinese.

So before 2008, the overwhelming majority of businesses and shops were in the hands of the
6/ Han Chinese who quickly enriched themselves contrasting with the relative poverty of the Tibetans. So ethnic riots occurred. Tibetans burnt down shops owned by the Han Chinese and wanted to drive out all the Han people.

As usual, these riots were glorified as the
7/ ethnic uprising by the West though same acts of rioting and looting are condemned in their own countries.

China cracked down on these riots. As is the same scenario with the Uighurs, immediately an international Free Tibet movement was born.

Before, CPC focused on the mass
8/ infrastructure building benefiting indiscriminately everyone. Cheap goods can come in and Tibetan farm produces could be sold to the whole China thanks to the roads built with great cost and difficulty on the perilous mountainous area. Further to the riots, CPC figured
9/ out that they need to share the prosperity with the Tibetans individually. Aggressive poverty alleviation programs have been rolled
out in Tibet. Since then, average Tibetan income grows by 12.5% a year now reaching 6000 US$/yr, ie, three times that of India. That's quite an
10/ achievement considering Tibet is on an isolated plateau and Tibetans used to live like Indian low caste untouchables just a few decades ago. Now Indian economy is dealt a huge blow by the pandemic whereas the Tibetan economy is near back to normal. With Tibetan standard of
11/ living steadily increasing and extreme poverty eliminated, ethnic tension is abated. Riots have disappeared. CPC is down to earth. As always, it orders studies from social scientists to learn the real cause of the dissatisfaction and then devises a plan to tackle the problem.
12/ All China's problems are examined and concrete steps are taken towards their gradual solution. The Western incitement to the Tibetans to rebel is useless in the current circumstances.

The Han Chinese are too hardworking and competitive. Everywhere they go,
13/ they immediately dominate the business scene. It's said 70% of the business of South East Asia are in the hands of people of Han Chinese origin. Now Russia is becoming an agricultural super power exceeding US Europe as the biggest exporter of wheat. The Chinese farmers
14/ are behind it... Not to mention China in Africa. No wonder China's credo is "Lie low, keep a low profile". China doesn't want to arouse too much resentment. China is still a poor country but already it must deal with the problem of how to share the prosperity. China's most
15/ aggressive poverty alleviation programs are designed for its minorities to the indignation of the 600m Han Chinese who are still very poor. But these are invited to take care of themselves. Government resources are limited. Rebellious minorities first.
16/ Looks like China is not exporting its ideology but its poverty alleviation program. It has been building social housing in Africa and in particular, in Angola etc.

I hope a time won't come for China to devise a poverty alleviation program for Americans.
17/ The onslaught to the self-confidence of the White supremacists would be too great. Imagine the shame to be saved by the barbarians!

Henry Paulson put aside the American pride and went to China in 2008 to ask for help, ie, absorb the QE by buying US treasury bonds.
18/ That was the poverty alleviation package China bestowed on America then.

This time America is absorbing largely the QE itself. How long can it last?
