I keep seeing tweets about the UN not intervening and it& #39;s funny. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😂" title="Gesicht mit FreudentrĂ€nen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit FreudentrĂ€nen">

Because Articles 2(4) and 2(7) aside, the UN does not actually care about us unless they are coming for their yearly photoshoots for their websites and calendars.

Why do I say so? A short thread... 1/?
The United Nations was established in October 1945 by the UN Charter. It declared all nations sovereign and equal.

If you& #39;re in Africa, when did your country actually become independent and sovereign? Just do the math.

They& #39;ll tell you "those things take time"... 2/?
Okay okay, we will take that excuse.

Now the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was declared in 1948.
Article 1 states that "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights..."

Again, when did your African country gain freedom from these same people? 3/?
They& #39;ll tell you that the UDHR was merely & #39;declaratory and had no binding force& #39;. Okay okay, we& #39;ll just take this excuse too.

Now the UN has a Security Council with five permanent members who hold the Veto Power:
China, France, Russia, USA and ofc UK(the champion oppressors) 4/?
The rest of us take turns like it& #39;s some & #39;employee of the month& #39; rotation.

And ofc there& #39;s an excuse for that as well, I mean they & #39;considered& #39; things like our development, peace, security, resources, you name it hahaha.

Kyer3s333 wonni sika aa you can& #39;t say some. 5/?
The powers of the world will only intervene when they seek to reap some benefit. Look at US& #39; intervention in Panama, Nicaragua, etc.

But if there& #39;s nothing to be earned by them they will quote Article 2(4) and 2(7) of the UN Charter rn.

krakra? Some countries are more & #39;equal& #39;.
