You see, the disdain and contempt for the most vulnerable women and children never went away. In a move so ruthless and cynical that it is breath-taking, the State want to bury these files and effectively pour cement on them until....wait for it....the survivors have died.2/4

There's no other possible motive for sealing these files for 30 years. And our very own Minister for Children, @rodericogorman will oversee this human rights violation and miscarriage of justice. Those Mothers & their babies were tortured by the State, the damage irreparable.3/4

..all they have left is the truth, their names, their stories.
If this goes ahead, no one will be able to access their personal records from the Minister's archive. The Oireachtas must legislate to 'unseal' the whole archive now. Time to stop the continuum of abuse. 4/4
