There is no after COVID
There is no “back to normal”
If you live alone now, that’s how it’s going to be for the foreseeable future
A lot of us will never be allowed to form “normal” relationships ever again
It sucks, but denying will only make it worse https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/520702-scientists-confirm-nevada-25-year-old-got-coronavirus-twice-second-case-was">https://thehill.com/policy/he...

I tried telling myself I’d see my friends again, see live music, go to a bar and meet new people again, but I won’t. Our lives are going to be more controlled and regulated. We won’t experience friendship or love like we used to.
I don’t know what the future of human interaction is going to be like or if I even want to be alive for that future, but the world we knew will never be the same. If you have people in your life you can be near treasure that.
All my interactions now are either with colleagues, people I’m interviewing for work or interactions with people I buy goods and services from.
The rest is feedback from readers who hate me. My transactional today interactions are the best ones.

Apologies if that all seems dark, but that’s the future
At least I had good middle eastern food last night from a food truck. Reminded me of when I could tell when I was among friends & when I was among those that wished me harm
I wonder if I’ll ever see those friends again

Take nothing for granted, especially not friendship, love or community. They’re fragile things and they’re worth hanging onto. Meaningful ones aren’t easy to replace.
