No one person can take the credit for all that happened yesterday. Full team effort. From the troopers during the protest to those that pulled through when trouble came. You guys don’t know the power and influence of this somewhat useless app. THREAD.
From the generous people who donated to feed protesters (will still give account cos some of your money ended up in logistics for their release) to the amazing people that stayed on job and kept calling to help.
My Surulere massive, I love you guys. Special shoutout to Eleniyan. Yes, same one Wiz sings about. Yesterday was his birthday and he came to ensure protesters were “protected” and no one was robbed or harassed. Personally joined us. Agbawo, a highly mouthed somebody. Number 1!!
Awon stars mi!! From @temivaughan to @Mochievous to @adetolaov to @fkabudu. Thank you so much guys. Honestly don’t think you know what we achieved yesterday. We literally saved 6 lives and I can’t thank you enough cos I saw all the drama and twists. You will never lack help.
I want to show special appreciation to @femigbaja, Desmond Elliot and the wonderful aides of the Speaker, @D_Moghalu @AdemideAdimA. They were massive and come all the way through. I say this as someone that had given up before their involvement.
To be honest, I told @Mochievous I had given up cos the tricks and bullying was too much. I had a gun pointed at me simply for identifying as a lawyer to the protesters. Other random people were accorded more respect than the lawyers to the detained protesters.
Special shout-out also to my NBA President and inestimable leader, @OlumideAkpata. He was on job and did his best. Kept calling and provided immense support, also ensured we were not harassed any longer.
Dem still point gun at me sha. I honestly broke down and went home without really letting anyone know. Immediately @D_Moghalu and then the Honourable Speaker called, I literally ran from Masha to Barracks (traffic) cos I knew we were on and they needed my craze on site.
The only thing I can guarantee those that know me is that I brought 100% craze at all points. I honestly did nothing more than display craze and argue a lot.

Police said they didn’t have them, I pulled up video from Twitter. These guys legit wanted to “scam” us sha.
Said they had moved them. I told the officer I was born in Surulere and know they have two gates, so I stationed someone at the other end and no one had left the compound. This was a trick but he fell for it and finally admitted they were there. 1st victory.
From then on, it was chaos and gbas gbos, the Speaker honestly displayed a lot of wisdom I can’t lie, cos they wanted to hold them overnight. They released them and still asked for sureties. Mr Speaker sought out six sureties for them and then I also acknowledged on his behalf
Again, I only brought Surulere street and legal knowledge to bare. Give me no special credits cos it is literally my day job, which I guess I am already good at.
Thank you to everyone that donated and those that kept calling to check I was okay. I really appreciate you guys. Lami, Kene and Kayode ❤️❤️
To my new followers, kindly refer to my pinned tweet. Please, I am not okay.
You guys really made an old man cry with all the genuine love. Send me legal work sha. I am still a “hungry” Lagos lawyer. 😭😭😭
