#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Rose, on the release of the documentary: "I think because all of us watch a lot of things on Netflix, it's such an honor to have our documentary air on Netflix. It's very great and we're very nervous."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Starting tomorrow, you will be able to change your Netflix icon to the members of Blackpink! Lisa says she really loves it and cannot wait to change her logo to herself!

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Blackpink is now joined by Caroline Suh, the director of #LightUpTheSky! "Congratulations, this is such an exciting time for Blackpink," she says.

#Blackpink
Jennie on what inspired BP to film the documentary: "We always think about the ways [we can] get closer to the fans. When we worked with Director Suh, we thought that we found the right person and so there was no reason to hesitate."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jennie continues: "We are really looking forward to the release of the documentary so I'm looking forward to tomorrow!"

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jisoo, on Blackpink being the subject of Netflix's first K-Pop group documentary: "It's an honor. The four of us have come a long way and we will continue to work hard to show more of us to our fans."
Jennie, on what kind of story Blackpink wanted to tell with their doc: "We were able to go back to times that we even forgot ourselves and that brought back a lot of memories."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jennie continues: "Since our trainee period to debut and to today, we wanted to show all of the hard work manifested on the glamorous stage of Blackpink while also sharing the authentic, original moments offstage that we didn't really get to share with fans before."

#Blackpink
She continues: "I hope that the BLINKS are also looking forward to the documentary and our story."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jisoo on the doc's behind the scenes footage at Coachella: "I'm sure a lot of our fans already saw our performance at Coachella, but the documentary should also show some new footage that was not shared before. I'm glad that all of that is included in the film."

#Blackpink
Rosé, on the documentary interviews: "When we were having the interviews, we were able to open up and share some of our genuine thoughts. We were speaking in the languages that we were most comfortable in."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Rosé continues: "For myself and Jennie, we grew up abroad and so we spoke a lot in English. Jisoo spoke a lot in Korean and Lisa spoke in Thai, so there are a lot of languages that are included in the documentary."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Rosé adds: "I think that in itself symbolizes a part of Blackpink and I think that's an aspect that fans will like as well. When we get really honest and true to ourselves, it's embarrassing. I did shed some tears, but I hope that the fans will also like that part of me as well."
Jennie adds that the frequent language switching is "what happens everyday" and that Blackpink can speak in any language and understand each other. "We are the world, literally!" She says.

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Lisa on the filming process: "At first it was a little bit awkward! We were not really familiar with having cameras all around us 24/7, but I think we got more comfortable."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
She continues: "Later on, we would forget that there was a camera filming crew shooting us and would start get more playful! I think that environment was created by Director Caroline Suh and that was something I wanted to thank her for."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jennie on Blackpink's bond growing stronger while filming: "We've been together since we were teenagers; now we are in our 20s. We were able to see each other grow and share all of the emotions in the world throughout this journey."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jennie continues: "So of course we are like family, but even when we are working we still feel that special bond. We are very comfortable sharing our opinions with each other."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
She adds:"When we were shooting the film, I believe that we were able to bring out some of the more playful, girly aspects of ourselves. I think that made our bond stronger and it got us to think about the relationship we'll have in the future as well."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jisoo says that Teddy Park is the "fifth member of Blackpink!"

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
On working with director Caroline Suh, Rosé says she made them all feel "very comfortable" and they all talked often. "I think that really helped bring a lot more of our natural aspects; I would like to thank her for that. I think she's really cool!"
Caroline Suh says that she wanted to "tell the story of how Blackpink came together" and their paths that brought them to Blackpink. "We really wanted to tell the story from the point of view of the members, and hear from them their thoughts on what that journey was like."
Lisa on difficulties faced while filming: "When it comes to shooting reality content this is not our very first, but it is our very first documentary. I don't think anything was particularly difficult, I think we just had a lot of fun. I really hope people enjoy seeing it!"
Jisoo on speaking about their emotions publicly in the documentary: "We started out on this project thinking we wanted to show a more honest, genuine side of ourselves. Through having heart to hearts and through very honest conversations, we got to know each other even deeper."
Jisoo continues: "I think we realized just how much we mean to each other. And for BLINKS, we really wanted to share more of us with them and that's why we started this project; I think it was very needed for us."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
On what type of Netflix content they enjoy, Jennie says: "Kingdom was one of our favorites! La Casa De Papel was also another one. We also love Dark, Black Mirror, Stranger Things — I could go on and on!"

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
On their motivations during their trainee periood, Jennie says: "All four of us had a very clear purpose that we wanted to achieve as members of Blackpink. With every moment that we went through together to achieve that, we wanted to make sure that none of us became tired of it."
Jennie continues: "We were all in it together. Although we all have different styles and strengths, we learn how to bring them in harmony and communicate with one another to achieve that common goal."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jennie says if she were to give her trainee self some advice, it would be to enjoy the moment. "I think not just for me but for all of us — we all had monthly grades that came out when we were trainees, so we weren't able to think that those moments were very precious," She says.
Jennie continues: "We often say to each other that we had a lot of fun back then! We got so close to one another because of that time we went through together. I would like to say: 'do well and keep going, because you will become Blackpink!'"

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Rosé says that the documentary's title comes from a lyric in their song "How You Like That." When asked when Blackpink's sky is lit up the brightest, Rosé says it's when all four members are together. "So, like right now!" She says while laughing.

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Rosé says the group feels the most proud of themselves when they make a comeback. "Sometimes when we are in the grind, there are just so many things that distract us, but when we see the result — that moment is when we feel the most fulfilled."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
When asked to give advice to aspiring K-Pop idols, Lisa says: "I think the most important thing is to find what you truly love and always have confidence in yourself. Take care of yourself and love yourself."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Rosé says a memorable scene while filming was watching their old childhood and trainee clips all together. "We were embarrassed and able to tease each other, and that's why it was more fun!" She says.

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Lisa adds: "When we were all together and watching the video clips of our childhoods, I felt that Rosé's childhood was the most impressive! I hope that fans can have a look at that as well!"

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
On how they've changed since debut, Jisoo says: "In the past, we were trying to achieve something for ourselves. After we debuted, there were a lot of people who were watching us so we tried to satisfy a broader audience."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jisoo continues: "A lot has changed, but what the four of us want — our objective, our path — I think remains unchanged. We really like that!"

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
On goals they want to achieve going forward, Jisoo says: "We want to continue to challenge ourselves and discuss new things that we want to show to the world. Because music has now become a very extended form of art, we want to provide the best of that to our fans."

#Blackpink
The members are now giving their final remarks! Jisoo says: "I think this was a documentary that helped ourselves and our fans become even closer together. I think we are becoming more closer; I hope you enjoy that and look forward to seeing it."

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Rosé adds that the documentary is: "the process and the journey that we went through become the Blackpink we are today! I hope you look forward to it!"

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Lisa says: "I think Jisoo and Rosé said everything so well, so I'm going to keep it short! Tomorrow, Blackpink Light Up The Sky will air on Netflix. I hope you enjoy and remember to choose my face for your Netflix profile icon!" She laughs.

#Blackpink #LightUpTheSky
Jennie says: "I hope that all of you can continue to show a lot of support for Blackpink Light Up The Sky!"
