Question for my smarty pants/psych/criminal minds armys:
I was thinking about how often we hear about fans harboring intense delusions about the guys, esp Tae. And there’s something I noticed that they all say: they want them/him to see their face. That’s disturbing tbh (thread)+

Bc I can recall in books & movies I’ve seen/read, the stalker/killer/kidnapper always wanted the victim to see their face. It just seemed odd to me to even state that to a celeb, esp knowing they may not be considered their ideal type. Am I the only one who finds it strange?+
So my overactive imagination starts going & I have to wonder:
Why? Is it a control thing? Do they feel invisible irl? Do they truly see themselves as their/his perfect match? No shade to those who suffer from delusional disorders, but I’m genuinely concerned for the guys’ safety+

What also scares me is how demanding & intense these people can be. It’s already worrisome that they believe they’re in real relationships w/ him/them, but to try to dictate what they say, when they sleep, what they wear & how they interact w/ army is SCARY. It’ll only get worse+
The guys are getting bigger. The more famous they get, the more they’ll need to control them. And when they can’t, then what? As a fandom, we need to stop writing these ppl off as harmless. A person who believes they are engaged to a man they’ve never spoken to is not rational+
They’re capable of ANYTHING. I know this thread started off as morbid curiosity, but now I’m wondering... Is there anything we can do? We know how powerful army is when we’re organized. Outside of emailing BH, how do we protect the guys & keep this behavior from intensifying?
To be clear, I’m not talking about people playfully stating they are dating or married to the members (bc that would totally contradict my marriage to Yoongi). I’m talking about ppl who actually believe they are in romantic relationships w/ the members yet have never met them.
