People who want to impose their religious beliefs on women's bodies/abortion never talk about the concept of fetal viability
In case you don't know: it's widely agreed by scientists that with current technology, a fetus cannot survive outside the womb prior to 21/22 weeks of gestation
I bet you see where this is going...
"The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 65% of legal abortions occur within the first 8 weeks of gestation, and 91% are performed within the first 13 weeks. Only 1.4% occur at or after 21 weeks (CDC, 2014)"
My blood boils to think all women could lose right to decide if they're prepared to go through with a possible future pregnancy or not. Both options should be available
Rant over. Open to hearing why you think real, living women should lose their rights to non-viable sacks of cells :)
One more thing as I was reminded by @anna_cg07 - to the 1.4% after the fetal viability stage: NONE OF THOSE WOMEN ARE DOING IT FOR FUN it's always life or death for the *I repeat* real, living woman
