I rewatched "Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse" recently.

I enjoyed it, in a popcorn kinda way, the first time. It was much better the second time - I was so much I missed the first time.
Spiderverse reminds me of Grand Theft Auto V, in that both make motion _beautiful_. GTA V does it better than anything else I& #39;ve ever seen. But Spiderverse is pretty great too.
It& #39;s not an accident. Lots of discussion of how this (and many other effects) is achieved here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-wUKu_V2Lk&t=128s&ab_channel=WIRED">https://www.youtube.com/watch...

Fun to think about the pre-conditions necessary for that work to take place. Decades of practice, & all kinds of embodied knowledge. The entire financial & talent & organizational structure of the (animated) movie industry - so many models, norms, rules of thumb. Amazing!
I& #39;m sure I imagine this, but I& #39;d love for the shed shot in Spiderverse to be homage to the "Oh, hi Mark" shot in "The Room":
