Some of you saw the story yesterday of the nurse from WV that spoke at the RNC. She was arrested Thursday after she shot a woman in her stomach.

I wanted to give you all some background on the players involved here.

She goes by Amy Thorn, Amy Ford, and Amy Johnson-Ford. She went to see her bf and he had another chick there. Those 2 get into a fight, Amy goes to her car to retrieve her gun then approached the woman and shot her.

This is Amy, the other girl and the dude they were fighting over standing in front of they house where this took place. I can be there in 3 minutes and this is a small town so everyone knows everything about what happened.

Amy went to a different school than me but she dated and ended up marrying one of my friends. They recently went through a messy divorce but have a child together.

Because we are so isolated and a small town deep in Appalachia murders don't happen here often. But a girl I went to school with and was friends with was murdered in 1996. This story was everywhere.

The girl killed in 96 was named Mikey. This shook our whole community, but what precipitated her murder was even more shocking.

Mikey secretly went to rehab in the summer of 96 for getting hooked on crack. Youd never known.Being a good friend of hers, even i had no idea.

Mikey came home from rehab and packed her bags so she start college Marshall University. She only had 2 days until she left.

While she was home she wanted to go to our homecoming game. Unbeknownst to anyone she met up with someone she bought drugs from.

Evidently she owed the drug kingpin $2,000. She also knew the inner workings of his drug ring so the dealer got paranoid that she was an informant for the FBI that was handling the case.

She spent q lot of time with the kingpin and the people he had selling the dope.

Because she knew so much & he was terrified bc he found out he was under investigation, he was waiting out of sight when she got there so she couldn't see him.

She thought the only person there was a guy running drugs for the kingpin.

They walk into a field and the kingpin comes out and orders Mikey onto her knees with her hands intertwined on the back of her hand.

The kingpin ordered the dealer to shoot her. He did. Twice. Execution style. Her body was found a couple of days later.

The kingpin and his brother were both charged with murder and drug offenses and are serving life.

Now, back to the nurse. This town has been in shock at her getting involved with this guy and how suddenly she went from speaking at the RNC to shooting a woman over a dispute about a man. He, too, has been in jail for drug offenses & domestic violence, but is free now.

The man they were fighting over? He is the son of the kingpin, and nephew to the kingpins brother.

I find it crazy that 2 women were fighting over this piece of shit womanizer and abuser.

He is notorious for those things. In fact when I first moved back home, he tried to get with me. It wasn't happening.

Its crazy to me that the kingpin & the kingpins brother is the father/uncle of the guy theyre fighting over.

I found the mugshot for the guy that shot Mikey. During his confession he said the kingpin held a gun to his head and told him to kill her or he, the kingpin, would kill the dealer.

We went to school with him.
